At Pedro's suggestion, see yesterday's photo, I've converted this one to B&W. I used Photoshop to do the conversion and applied a filter. Also, since I just learned that photos get resized to 800 pixels wide (thank you http://anthro.aminus3.com/, I adjusted my file size before exporting. Thank you for your comments and suggestions on how to improve my images!

Actually I preferred the colored image. it added more about the culture. Did you ever find out what they were doing?

@Michael Skorulski: Apparently they were celebrating "coming of age day" which is a national holiday here in Japan.
I think I prefer the color one. but the interesting moment is there

I prefer the colored version, as the color is not too intrusive I think it gives more structure to you photo.
