This is the last image in this series. I know this needs to be straightened, but I can't figure it out in Photoshop. Also, on my sony LCD monitor it doesn't look that great, but on my iMac 1280 x 1024 it looks pretty darn good!
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my photos. And for those who left a comment - a double thank you!

I find the composition excellent. We get to see old instruments and a happy musician. The wall with its various shades and textures is also very appealing.

Why would you want to straighten this out? The perspective lines of the door frames, the floor, his instrument, the boards on the wall, out door post and rafters are all part of the strength of this very excellent image. The man himself is wonderfully captured in his quiet, competent joy.

Nice shot. interesting subject, nice composition and lines. it doesn't look slanted to me, but it's your decision. I do know one way to straighten in photoshop (though I sometimes do it in Picasa which has a simple tool just for that purpose), though i don't know if it's the best way. You go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary. Then you choose a very small angle and rotate it, then you can crop out the edges. (Let me know if you find out a simpler way.) Also, if you don't want to eyeball it, you can use the grid lines (View > Show > Grid), and you can control the spacing of the grid lines (Edit > Preferences > Guides, Grid, Slices & Count...). Finally, I don't know about the monitor issue, but I do know that when aminus3 resizes images to 800 pixels wide, they lose sharpness, so it's better to resize yourself before uploading. Hope this helps.

@danthro: Thank you for the info on straightening! I must have missed the bit about aminus resizing to 800. I will start doing that myself!
He looks as if he were sitting there forever.

I like the way you captured the gentle light. It fits the scene perfectly.

why don't u try taking your pictures un RAW format and then use the lightroom to edit them? there is a tool in that program that helps you really easily to straighten your photos :) This is a very nice picture!

@Ale: Ale, I'll download lightroom today. Thanks for the suggestion!
What a nice action picture! I really want to hear the sound of this musical instrument...;)

This is one EXCELLENT composition, Martie! You really nailed this one!!! One goes entirely INTO the shot!!! (The easiest way.....forget the Photoshop which sooooo complicated - I wonder why? Just download Picassa, it is free of charge and it has one very good straightening tool. Don't forget to file the shot after straigtening, just give it another name.)
