@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine. I thought the building looked neat - and I still wonder about the inside (we don't eat beef)!

@Jen: Thank you! I hope the food is good there, it would be such a disappointment to go somewhere like this only to discover that all the "taste" is the building!
It sure beats the look of steaks shacks around here.

It's interesting to me that many of your Okinawa photos seem to reflect a significant US influence as opposed to other images I see on here from Japan.

@Twelvebit: You are so correct. The US occupied this island until the 1970s, and the US influence is so strong. Having lived in mainland Japan a long time ago I was surprised by how little the culture here seemed to be related to that of Japan. There is a surprisingly Chinese feel to the old architecture on the island.
